A Sept. 26 story, NDB Posts Loss as Expected, misstated latest-quarter income data at National Discount Brokers' (NDB:NYSE) market-making and online units. The story erroneously reported the market-making unit's income as $7.1 million and the NDB.com online unit's loss as $7.3 million. Those are 1999 figures. In fact, the market-making unit's latest-quarter pretax income was $8.7 million, and NDB.com's pretax loss was $7.2 million. (corrected Oct. 13)
The Oct. 11 SiliconStreet.com, In This Market, Being Great Might Not Be Good Enough, misstated the percentage of international sales at Yahoo! (YHOO:Nasdaq) in its most recent quarter. The percentage is 16%, not 13%. (corrected Oct. 12)
The Oct. 11 closing Market Story incorrectly said that Intel's (INTC:Nasdaq) intraday low of $35.25 was its lowest since February 1998. In fact, $35.25 was the lowest level for that stock since October 1999. (corrected Oct. 12)
Because of an incomplete company press release, an Oct. 10 story, FSI International Reports 4Q Earnings Below Analysts' Views, reported that FSI International (FSII:Nasdaq) reported fourth-quarter earnings of 21 cents a share. That was the net figure, but it included a previously announced restructuring charge. FSI actually reported operating earnings of 36 cents a share, beating the three-analyst First Call/Thomson Financial estimate of 31 cents. (corrected Oct. 11)
A Oct. 9 story, The Moment for Major Earnings Warnings Is Past, mistakenly named Solectron (SLR:NYSE) as having recently issued an earnings warning. It hasn't. (corrected Oct. 10)
